Fondation Oumou Dilly supported the ECAS Conference 2017 from 29.6.-1.7. in Basel with travel grants for African scholars. ECAS is the biggest conference for African studies in Europe covering a wide range of topics from arts to zoology (see https://ecas2017.ch)

Festival „Image Afrique“ in Basel

Fondation Oumou Dilly supported the festival “Image Afrique” in Basel from 9.6.-2.7. The purpose of this festival is to animate reflections on the visual representations of Africa. At the same time it serves as a platform for the presentation of the International Prize for Contemporary African Photography, which annually honours five photographic portfolios referring to Africa (see http://www.imageafrique.com)

Fondation Oumou Dilly soutient le festival « Image Afrique » du 9.6.-2.7. à Bâle. Ce festival a comme fonction d’animer des réflexions sur les représentations visuelles de l’Afrique. En même temps il sert comme plateforme pour la remise du Prix Cap (International Prize for Contemporary African Photography) qui honore chaque année cinque portfolios photographiques se référant sur l’Afrique (voir http://www.imageafrique.com)

This session was entitled “Interdisciplinarity in Area Studies: Basic and Applied Research” (see the call)

Cette séance s’intitule « L’interdisciplinarité dans les études régionales: recherche fondamentale et appliquée» (voir l’appel)
